What should i look for on food labels that tell me if its good for not gaining weight and not getting fat??


i need to loose 10 pounds in 1 month and in order to do that i have to start by eating healthy foods so i have to know what to look for on food labels..any good foods too??

Foods that are high in sodium and/or sugar. Excess sodium in your body will cause you to retain alot of water. Excess sugar will cause your body to use the readily available sugar to fuel your body and instead of digesting your food into glucose(sugar) it will store it as fat. here is the easiest way if it comes in a box,bottle,bag,ect... its not good for you stick to fruits and veggies and meats

Look at Calories, and depending on your age and weight, count calories. Eat lots of protein, work out, and you will lose the weight.

calories, losing weight is all about burning more calories than you eat. Balancing sugars, fats, protein and fibre makes you more healthy but won't have much affect on weight loss. Vitamins and Minerals will also boost immunity and make you generally healthier, but won't have much to do with acctual weight loss.

you look for ones with low sodium,fat,colestorol,no sugar
the best thing to do is eat fresh produce and make sure you have high fibre in them

The best foods don't have labels. Unprocessed foods like apples, oranges, celery, etc... these are foods of the gods. The more ingredients listed and the harder to pronounce the worse they are for you. Processed foods is why America is fat. If you fill up on the natural God given fruits and vegetables, you wont crave the processed foods like chips and candy bars. why do you need to lose 10 pounds in 1 month?

i would say 2 look 4 calories and trans fat and other things like that...but it's not really gonna help bcuz this will put stress on u...and if u haven't heard from everywhere b 4...stress can make things worse...but...im just saying...back 2 ur question..yea i would sy 2 look 4 calories , trans fat, protein would help u if ur working out....but other "bad" things like that...
