Food allergy test for stomachache?

My daughter who is 14 complains of moderate to sevre pain 5-6 times in a month. All tests including scanning tests are normal. Is there any kind of food allergy test (the IGE blood test shows negative) which can pinpoint allergy for certain foods which are causing the stomachache.

There a many things that cause moderate to severe abdominal pain especially in a 14 year old girl eg irritable bowel, food intolerance, pelvic inflammatory disease, cystitis, cystic ovaries, peritontitis, low grade intermittent pancreatitis, etc. She needs to be referred to a specialist. eg gastroenterologist, allergist or pediatrition. GPs are good but they are not specialists. It is still possible to have a allergy without having a positive blood test. It is actually well know that the blood tests are unreliable. If she gets pain shortly after eating it could be food intolerance as apposed to allergy. She could have irritable bowel or heliobacter. A scope of her GI tract should be done if it has not already been done. In the meantime you can feed her meat and rice/potato - nothing else and see how she goes. Remember if she does have food allergies and you add the food in after removing it she could have a severe and possibly life threatening reaction. Please only attempt this under the direct supervision of a specialist. Good luck.

You can test at home. The easiest way to do this is to cut out all problems foods, such as dairy, bread, sweets etc. Then to slowly introduce things back one at a time. So one day you might introduce milk, and a few days later, cheese and so on. Whichever food causes the stomach upset is the one that you omit from her diet! Good luck :-)
