Food allergy's? |
I'm wondering what are the different symptoms for food allergy's? Is it just swelling and hives? or do ppl get other things as well..like sore throats, stuffy noses etc.. Anyones personal experiences are welcome...thanks in advance. Is it possible for a person who just has a really bad congested nose have this be a symptom of a food allergy? or are they like I mention basically the same no matter what? Since may of 07 I've had a non stop congested nose, I've taken 3 different over the counter drugs, 2 prescribed nose sprays, 2 prescribed antibiotics (thought it was a possible sinus infection) had x-rays for a sinus infection, which came up clear... I've been to an allergy specialist had the skin scarps and needle testing for everything they can test.. all came out negative..we still aren't' sure what it is...which is why I am question food allergy's..I didn't think so before but now I'm wonder maybe its possible..but I just have a bad stuffy nose...I've been prescribed another nose spray which I start taking tomorrow.. I just want as much knowledge on teh subject so I don't miss anything. It varies with severity, of allergies and types of allergies. Some are slow and chronic, developing over a while, while some develop immediately with hives and anaphelexis and watery eyes. Anaphelexis is the closing on the throat, so that may lead to death. a "tingle "so to speak in the throat, hives, wheezing, heart stopping, throat closing and then death. Well I am deathly allergic to nuts, and one time I ate Pistachio Ice-Cream (before I knew I was allergic) and I got awful hives, swollen face, and my airway swelled up and closed so I couldn't breath and I had to take an ambulance to a hospital because I passed out from not being able to breathe!! :-( |
