The whole inside of my mouth feels inflamed--could this be a food allergy?

And no, I don't want smart-a$$ answers like I have mouth herpes.

It feels like both of the insides of my cheeks are rotting and I can see with a mirror that they are puffy. You think this is a food allergy?

It sounds like an allergy, but it could just be oral allergy syndrome.

People with oral allergy syndrome get oral (mouth) reactions to certain foods when they eat them, especially raw versions of the food. However, the food itself is not problematic from an actual allergy standpoint.

I would recommend going to see an allergist soon, and get tested.

You may also want to keep a record of what you eat when this happens, as it may help you and your doctor come up with a better diagnosis and plan for avoidance.

It sounds like it, I would see your doctor and there are allergy tests to see what you are allergic to.
