Why does the government allow chemicals in food that cause cancer?Is it the lobbies that Presidential candida-


tes are complaining about in their election speeches?
Here's a bit of information for those unaware of the causes of cancer -
Saccharin, or Sweet 鈥楴 Low, is an artificial sweetener that is known to cause cancer. Because of pressure from the food industry, in 2000, saccharin was removed from the list of cancer-causing chemicals, in spite of the fact that studies still show that it causes cancer in lab animals.
