Do foods in the U.S. contain certain chemical & additives not allowed in other countries? Obesity in the U.S?

I remember hearing something about this, and I'm wondering if it's true. If so, where would I find a list of these ingredients that are banned in other countries? Also, does the U.S. have the highest percentage of obesity?

Yes, the US is the fatest country...but other countries are catching up. I think this whole mentality of always eating hamburgers and fries, eating lots of junk food, eating foods filled with pesticides and preservatives, and little exercise is what's making people so fat. I live in Italy, and I notice that the younger generation of Italians are a lot fatter compared to their parents. They eat a lot more potato chips, ice-creams, etc. and get less exercise (it's always computers, computers, computers) than their parents did....and you see the results!

I think we do have the highest percentage of obesity, but many countries have their fair share of obese people. I think the portion sizes in fast food places, and that people eat is a huge factor in why so many Americans are obese.

I don't eat that much food, I have about 4 small meals a day, and only take in 1200 or less calories daily. So thankfully I am not obese at all....

Europe has banned certain pesticides and growth hormones that US farmers still use on crops.

no the united states is FAT because they eat eat eat grease and fat! and it is retarded when people sue restraunts for making them fat because they know that if you eat fat you'll be fat duh!
