Whole grains without wheat or rye? |
I'm on a diet that requires complete elimination of wheat & rye while eating whole grains. the diet also demands that i completely avoid: thanks guys... your responses helped. however, a couple other things - i actually am not allowed to eat tomatoes or much pepper either and while i was diagnosed with food allergies many years back, this diet is for something else: endometriosis and it makes my diet quite restrictive. that's why i really need to know the exact foods that will not have any contents to exercebate it. it's a permanent diet and i will be taking supplements... i could use more of your help! This sounds like the elimination diet to determine allergies in oyr body. You can got to a health food store or even some of the larger stores now carry spelt bread in the refrigerated section. I found it to be quite good. Whole Foods has many selections but they get pretty pricy. Brown rice is not rice. Proably cant eat that either. For the time being, you are going t need a health food store and you're going to pay more but the diet works and will let you know what your body will not tolerate. As you add more foods back, your body reactions will tell you if you are allergic or not. If there is no Whole Foods around Trader Joe's has alot of this stuff as well but cheaper. If neither are around, you will have to look up the health food store that is closest to your home. Brown rice is an excellent source of fiber and it's a grain. I like to make it sometimes with canned unsalted tomatoes added. It is a tasty meal and fills me up. Rice is the one you want 10 billion chinamen cant be wrong |
