Why do the presidential candidates not know the facts about health care?

Many times last night I heard the Republican candidates say that "WE" have the best health care in the world. Were they speaking about the Health care that CONGRESS has? The rest of us have a health care that is 44th in the free world. If you rate it by one that actually helps its patients we rank 76th. Prescription drugs are the 4th cause of death in the U,S. WE do pay the most in the entire world. The FDA allows dangerous food additives plus deadly drugs to be used on us.

i am neither democrat or republican but Fred Thompson was the one who impressed me the least. He said that "We have the BEST health care in the world." He could have been speaking about CONGRESS. THey prpbably do. No one else does. We are at the bottom when it comes to good health care. We DO spend the most and get the least.

You think all this is the Republicans fault? Democrats are just as responsible for letting drugs companies lobby for the high cost health care and releasing drugs early to the public before drugs are actually tested for safety. Americans need to demand this being stopped. I asked a question earlier as to why Zyrtec is being released on January the 24th to be sold over the counter for $25.00 and if it is bought on prescription it cost $75 for the very same tablet. Who is responsible for the extra $50 that is being made on the drug when being dispensed? The insurance and pharmacuetical companies are in cahoots with the doctors. It is all a big scam and needs to stop.

Example: An Advair steroid inhaler used to be priced at $54 to my mother before she was forced to use the health care program that the president said all seniors had to buy. Since this was implemented, the cost of the inhaler has increased to $191.00, and she saves approximately $20. Who gets the remainder of the $191.00?

It is not the food additives that is dangerous, it is the actual drug itself. Binders are made of gelatin and other fillers that are not harmful.

Being as the working taxpayers are responsible for their own health care and also those who do not work, what can you actually expect? Who is going to pick up the tab for it? The taxpayers of course. We are being taxed to death. I pay over $3500 dollars a year, which I am not eligible to get any of it back and cannot afford health care for myself.

Oh, but they do know.

Pharmaceutical and Insurance companies have been financing politicians including the Democrats, for a very very long time.

When you consider who you are going to vote for, consider who is paying for that candidate to get into office.

Only three candidates have clean hands. Kucinich, Paul and Gravel.

And that is why you don't hear or see much about them, because they actually give a crap about America and it's people. The rest are working for faceless multinational corporations, money machines and their interest is to keep the machine running.

They are being kept in the dark by the drug companies that pay them!

You are right to call them on that. You should try to pose that question, somehow, to them.
