Can you help me or my doctor diagnose this very unusual ailment?

I got a pain like a very severe toothache that starts randomly in some places of my body. It appears on ONE LOCATION only. It may attack on my left ear, left part of my head (unilateral), approximately back of my eye), both sides of my neck just below the ears, on my thigh, my external oblique abdominal, on my rectus abdominis. See http://www.faqs.org/health/images/uchr_0...

It often throbs, and is made worse by moving around. The pain is often so severe that I cannot continue to do normal activities such as working, reading or office activities.

For the last10 years I have positively observed that certain food triggers this pain. They are chocolate, candies, milk, cheeses, citrus juices (orange or lemon), red wine, coffee, tea, softdrinks, vitamin C, multivitamins, food with additives, vinegar, mango, orange, kiwis, tomatoes,

When the pain attacks I will take a pain killer to ease it but I am afraid I got my tinnitus from taking pain killers like ibofrupen

I would go to another doctor for a second opinion. You need a work up to see what could be causing these episodes. There are many good tests that could rule out different causes. Ask your doctor for a referral to a specialist. Any one trying to guess from your symptoms would be just that....guessing! If you don't get any solid answers, try Acupuncture. Learning self-hypnosis can help you relax and get you through these episodes without the use of pain relievers.

Good luck.

First of all, yes, taking too much of an anti-inflammatory like ibuprofen can cause tinnitis. Usually it's aspirin, though, that is the most likely to cause this so use ibuprofen, just in moderation. Or try tylenol for the pain. Now for the symptoms, this is a tough one. The foods you listed are for the most part acidic. For alot of people, eating acidic foods can cause some problems. But it shouldn't cause the type of muscular and head pain you describe. It's quite unusual that you have that type of pain after eating those foods. But if you really feel it's tied in together, go see a nutritionist or allergy specialist. They can do allergy tests on you to find out if you're allergic. And they'll tell you if these foods could possibly be tied to the pain you're having. If not, they'll direct you to see the right kind of Physician that can diagnose it. I hope you find out what's wrong and can get it remedied. Good luck.
