Folliculitis!!! HELP!!!? |
k, in november, i developed a rash on my underarms(both) wierd i know. K, i went to the doctor, he told me it was a east infection. prescribed creams. good. k, about a week later, it was almost cleared up. Then, i started getting tiny red bumps that looked like hives(almost). went back to mr. dr. man, he said on top of my yeast infection i had a bacterial infection because of the creams as welll now. so, no more creams. I had to take Grifulvin for 28 days, Omnicef for 10, Prednisone for 10, and Benadryl. K, so everything was fine, then I shaved my arms, and now i have a similar looking rash, and a crusty looking crap. Went back to mr.dr.man, he says I have folliculitis, but doesnt prescribe anything. I need home remedies for this thst will work BEFORE valentines Day!!!! No more Dr. PLEASE I AM ONLY 14, I shouldnt have to go through all of this discomfort in addition to high school.!!! If anyone can give me even a hint as towhatmight help, and the time frame, I'll love you forever!!!!! Since it is a bacteria, you can treat it with one of the best natural antibiotics in the WORLD!!! Ok this answer will ahve to be brief, (it's almost bedtime). Superinfections are common with axillary folliculitis because of the favorable conditions for bacterial growth in the axilla (armpit) when creams are used. The best advice I can give is to apply moist heat compresses to the affected areas, this will promote vasodilation, which means the bad stuff can be carried away better, blood inside that you cant see can get to the areas better to help do an "internal wash." I'm trying to keep this very non-technical. deodorants can be irritating but there is one that you may be able to get at Wal-Mart that is a natural rock type deodorant. It is clear in color and dry and hard, to use it, you wet it with water and then apply. You want to make sure it is thoroughly dry before putting your arms down and its very important to maintain as dry of an environment as possible. The warm compresses are definately gonna be your best bet and keep a close eye on the area and if you see boils instead of tiny red marks, be sure to report this immediately to your physician. Hopefully this helps your stressful situation and don't use your warm compress for more than 20 minutes at a time and make sure it isn't too warm because that in itself can cause problems. Good luck to you! |
