Is there a guarantee cure from folliculitis and psuedo-folliculitis?

If you get the folliculitis under control using Mupirocin ointment (Bactroban), make sure and use lots of soap and water daily and use excellent hygiene and you will increase your chances of the follicultis not returning. If you do have another round of infection, ask your physician whether doing intranasal mupirocin for 3 weeks might help, since the germ that causes follicultis is harbored in the nose besides the skin.
