What is folliculitis also i have patches of hair missing on the back of my head eight circles with no hair?

Folliculitis is inflammation of the hair follicle:- the part of the skin out of which the hair grows. This usually causes a swollen red bump around the base of the hair and can be treated with antibiotics.

The bald circles could be due to ringworm (not a worm at all - but a fungal infection).

It would be a good idea for you to see a dermatologist.

Dont know

Folliculitis is an infection of the hair follicles. It can be worse in areas of extensive sweating or areas where the hair is clipper cut short. It is frequently caused by a staph bacteria and can be confused with pseudofolliculitis which is not a bacterial infection, but an ingrown hair in people with highly kinky hair (usually african american) that is shaved too closely. Treatment usually consists of washing the area regularly with antibacterial soaps, antibiotics-sometimes for 1-2 months or topical antibiotics.
The bald spots may be alopecia areata-believed to be an autoimmune disease where the bodies immune system attacks the hair follicles. Most treatments are not very effective and the problem frequently goes away on its own.
