Whenever I shave i get recurrent outbreaks of folliculitis. Is there anyway I can stop this?

Without resorting to the use of antibiotics?

I think you need to apply some type of topical cream that contains lidocaine. I use bikini zone for my...bikini zone and it really works. I tihnk it could work with whatever area you're having probelsm with. Find a product with the same key ingredient. The only drawback is you have to apply 4 times a day- but it's worth it and it clears un razor irritation fast and also prevents other irritations from occuring.

Grow a beard!

wet-shave or dry-shave?

If you're wet-shaving, it depends where you get it. I suffered a bit of a nasty injury on the right side of my neck when I was young, although you'd never know it now. You'd never know, except when I shave when I have the same problem! I have found that it is massively reduced when I shave that area the wrong way, upwards. Admittedly this means that the right side of my neck is never smooth, but at least it's not red!

Yes, Use Aloe Vera Shampoo.

Oh, and AVOID Aspartame.

I have had a few problems with my facial hair from time to time
I grow a beard once in a while
that really seems to help
