Could i be overdosing on folic acid? |
i take plain folic acid, plus prenatal vitamins, plus, vit.E,w/foloc acid, plus, multivitamin, that possibly has folic acid? if i am, what could be the side effects? thanks i should add.... i'm not pregnant, i only take prenatal vitamins for my hair. Consult your doctor. More than likely you're over doing it. This could be harmful to you and your baby. Folic acid is good for brain development but should be used in conjunction with B vitamins or it can cause a deficientcy in the blood platlets. Too much of something is never a good thing. Get professional help and don't self medicate okay.? The prenatal vitamins (maybe along with an iron pill) should be sufficient enough. YES |
