Where can I find a list of foods WITHOUT folic acid?

Im on a strict diet from my doctor and I cant have any folic acid for 2 weeks. Where can I get a list of food without folic acid in it? Im starving but I dont know what to eat!!!

Gee, I dont know how to make this clear...I need a list of foods WITHOUT, yes I said WITHOUT folic acid. I know what food has it but that isnt going to help me with lunch today. Can anyone please help me with a list of food WITHOUT folic acid. And yes, I know every healthy diet needs folic acid but my Dr put me on it for just 2 weeks and I was put on it for a reason, reasons for which I choose not to discuss with strangers.

Thanks for understanding!

What kind of doctor are you seeing?

"Folate intake from food is not associated with any health risk. The risk of toxicity from folic acid intake from supplements and/or fortified foods is also low [65]. It is a water soluble vitamin, so any excess intake is usually excreted in urine. There is some evidence that high levels of folic acid can provoke seizures in patients taking anti-convulsant medications [1]. Anyone taking such medications should consult with a medical doctor before taking a folic acid supplement."

interesting your Dr. has you NOT to eat folic acid ... A healthy diet should include foods that are fortified with folic acid and foods that contain folate, the natural form of folic acid that is found in foods. Many grain products are fortified with folic acid. This means that a synthetic (manufactured) form of folic acid is added to them. Enriched flour, rice, pasta, bread and cereals are examples of fortified grain products (check the label to see if a product is enriched). Folate-rich foods include leafy green vegetables, dried beans, legumes, oranges and orange juice.

Why did you not get a list of appropriate foods from your doc? It is important (VERY) to have folic acid every day - why did the doc put you on this diet and what else is involved?

leafy green veggies and most cereals will have folic acid, so I guess DON'T enjoy those....wow, how weird........
