My mom is 68 and found out she is diabetic almost a year ago she is b-12 deficient and also folic acid?

she is also defiecient in folic acid ..has been taking b-12 shots for over a month every week.. this past week she is sleeping most of the time. says she feels like she is dragging her body it is so tired.. please help me find and answer...she has had a mri of the head...white spots were found on the left side of brain...

my mother is also a diabetic, who just recently had to start injections because the pills she was taking was not controlling her blood sugar... i have been in the health field for quite a while and one thing to remember about being diabetic is that diabetes effects everything and everything effects diabetes. diabetes is directly related to so many things. for instance, your mother being so fatigued with little to no energy, or sometimes confusion. like i say, there are so many things diabetes has a direct link to. the website given by one of the previous answers is a good educational site for learning about diabetes. you can also go to www.webmd.com... please try to get your mom to a specialist(endocrinologist), he/she will be able to tell how your mom's medicine are interacting with each other and hopefully get her on the right track to feeling better.

Maybe you need to ask for a second op. on your mom.Try finding a specialist.

Take her to a good doctor and in the mean time refer the site below.

Has she been tested for Celiac disease ?

I have no idea what the spots in the brain are. Did a neurologist look at them ?
