Im taking folic acid tabs of 5mg per day, as i want to become pregnant.do you think this dose is appropriate ? Hi, well i don't think anything like that would help u in getting pregnant ......better consult ur doctor sometimes taking those pills can be harmful to your body if you aren't pregnant http://www.webmd.com/baby/default.htm you are only supposed to begin taking folic acid once you fall pregnant as it is an aid to help the babys spine form properly it doesnt make you any more fertile. Consult your gynac. Do not take over dose. folic acid supplementation is prescribed to those who r planning to concieve and have risk factors for having a baby with neural tube defects..once u concieve it can b discontinued after 3 mnths wen neural tube develops. |
