My doctor prescribed folic acid for my poriasis rash i want to know is it safe and ok? Folic acid is a water soluble vitamin, a member of the B complex and is also known as Bc or vitamin M. Water soluble means that the body can't produce it by itself and therefore needs replenishment of this vitamin on a daily basis. The recommended daily intake for adults is 180 to 200 mcg. Also it can be destroyed by being stored, unprotected, at room temperature for extended time periods. My mother has been battling psoriasis for about 70 yrs. There are many different treatments out there. If the folic acid doesn't work then try another med. Sunshine does wonders for psoriasis. And there are websites about that topic. Good Luck. |
