Fluid & black Lungs? Help.? |
My best friend had problems earlier because she keeps fainting & her Lungs are all conjested. She is 19 & went to Hospital. She had a Lung Scan and ECG performed. ECG was normal apart from fast heartbeat, white cell count is high & the Lung Scan showed up Fluid on her Lungs & her Lungs were black. Fluid was removed not long ago but Dr said the back lung is caused by smoking. She barely smokes and quit 4 months ago & prior to this she only smoked a bit because a pack of 10 cigarettes would last her 1-2 weeks. I thought Fluid on the Lungs would make a Xray look black but I wasn't sure about a SCAN. What you are describing is very unusual in a person so young. Black lung disease is usually thought of as being a coal miner's disease. Considering the high white count and fluid in the lungs, I would tend to think it's more likely to be penumonia. At the very least, some kind of bacterial infection. Did she improve with antibiotics? Keep away from the bus exhaust. Fluid in the lungs looks black on an xray. If they were drained then the black is gone. |
