Fluid In Ear Question? |
i was told i have a sinus infection so i was given augmentin 875 that hasnt really helped . last night i had severe pain in my right ear and it stopped after about 4 hours so i went to the dr today he says there fluid in my ears and i have to go to an ent..can fluid in ears cause these symptoms swollen neck feeling, headache and like slight dizzyiness like when i go in and out of aisles in a store Unfortunately, fluid in your ears can cause all of the symptoms you mentioned. The dizziness factor stems from an unbalance in your equilibrium from having fluid in one ear. I have had this problem for years. My doctor always recommends a decongestant, such as the safe Sudafed they now make, to relieve the congestion in the ears. You can also ask your doctor or pharmacist about Mucinex----I know it's good for chest congestion, but I am unsure about congestion in the ear. You can also buy ear drops over the counter that will relieve some of the pain. I believe they are called Similasan. Best of luck and hope you are feeling better soon! |
