What are some reasons that would cause fluid build up in someone? particularily around their chest or tummy? |
My grandma is in the hospital for so much fluid built up on her chest, but she's retaining fluid all over. They were almost ready to release her when she gained another 2 pounds of fluid over night. She may have congestive heart failure (CHF) Heart failure comes to mind. Congestive Heart Failure comes to mind...however "beer colored" fluid sounds a bit odd. Perhaps there is an infection of some kind..or there could be deoxiginated blood mixed with the fluid. Has your grandmother been diagnosed with a heart condition..? This is what it sounds like. |
