Fluid behind the brain?

OK... When I was pregnant with my son the doctor said he had extra fluid BEHIND the brain. No on the brain. (the number was like 18 when 9-10 is the very high end of normal..they like to see between 6-8.) Has anyone been told that before? If so did it end up being anything to worry about? My son's doctor is going to go through the ultra sound reports and tell us what he thinks at his 4 month appointment but that is still a month away. I was wondering if anyone has heard of this or can tell me anything. I am not really worried... just curious. Could that mean some sort or brain damage? or learning problems?
