Fluid buildup?

i was playing the guitar and it was actually while i was playing that i noticed a little "bubble" had formed on the tip of the finger that i use to pluck the bass. what is this little buildup of fluid caused by (a scientific explanation please, not "u got it cuz u were plucking the bass strings" because i know that) and what is it? note that it doesnt cause me any pain, if that helps. Thanks for the help guys
