HIV & flu? |
my boyfriend has the flu. He never gets any sleep (maybe 4-5 hours every night) and he doesnt drink enough liquids like wate and he is always working. He has the flu now, and im just wondering i believe its just the flu but i also heard after you get hiv you get the flu. Its just scary is a flu really a flu, or is it hiv? It's just the flu. He needs to get more sleep and drink more water. Yes the flu is a common complication of HIV patients but that is because their immune system is to compromised to fight off the infection. Your boyfriend has a compromised immune system from overwork and undersleep, not likely from HIV. He's not taking care of himself, he needs to slow down a bit. I assure you, your boyfriend will NOT die, as the first poster said. It is just the flu.The flu is common in HIV positive patients, but has he ever gotten tested for it? If he has parents with HIV, or has had intercourse with someone else who has HIV, he might have HIV. However, if he has not shared semen or blood with anyone else, he just has the flu. Tell him to go to the doctor. It is more likely the flu than HIV. Why do you think it is HIV? Millions of people get the flu every year and they do not have HIV. If you think he or you has been exposed to HIV you should go get tested. haha hes going to die!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
