HIV and flu? |
my boyfriend has the flu. He never gets any sleep (maybe 4-5 hours every night) and he doesnt drink enough liquids like wate and he is always working. He has the flu now, and im just wondering i believe its just the flu but i also heard after you get hiv you get the flu. Its just scary is a flu really a flu, or is it hiv? Well if I understand your question right: you don't always get the flu after getting HIV, but with HIV, your immune system is weakened so it makes you more prone to getting infections like the flu. Also, the flu is more dangerous in people with HIV since their immune system can't fight off the infection. well he has worn out his immune system from working too much and not drinking enough fluids and not eating enough or eating right. that can all add up and when your immune system is down, it can cause the perfect environment for the flu. I have Hiv and there is a big differnce and just as the women above stated if he feels he has has HIV then he should get tested. If you have any question you can email me. |
