Flu season is coming: should I get a flu shot?

Flu season is approaching and I want prepare myself for the worst. I have a history of bronchitis & walking pneumonia and I was thinking is it a good idea that I get a flu shot soon? I鈥檓 a bit nervous that I鈥檓 going to get bronchitis again and it鈥檚 very painful when you have bronchitis. And do anyone know鈥檚 when flu shots will be given?

Its a good idea to get the flu vaccine if you have history of recurrent chest infection and/or other long term medical conditions, such as asthma or diabetes.
The flu vaccine can be given all year round, but most health practitioners offer it between October and February.

Check with your local practitioner as some give them for free to persons at a higher risk.

1. Yes it' is a clever idea.
2. Flo shot can be given anytime. You better call your health provider / doctor and ask for it as soon as possible.
I used to get flu shot every year.

It can't really protect us from flu, but at least it will protect us from get serious symptoms or complication.

I have it every year because i'm Type 1 diabetic, and it's never stopped me from getting the flu or a cold!
I still get them. I've even got a cold now!
I guess everyone is different though,so it may help you out alot.

In the UK,flu shots start to be given out around late October. I just wait for my letter to be called in for it,as i'm signed up for the shot.

No, and DOUBLE NO!

I have a similar history, but flu shots usually have mercury in them. Instead of risking Alzheimers and other rogue inexplicable degenerative neurological problems, I take zinc, vitamin C, and Juice Plus vitamins.

You can request a mercury-free (i.e., thimerosal-free) shot if you must get a flu shot. NEVER take a free flu shot.

Yes get one.I have HIV so I always get one and I don't get the flu.I believe they start giving them in a few weeks.
