Flu shot question? |
I have a question. I got a flu shot 2 days ago. I just felt tired and weak the rest of the day, guessing it was from the shot. Yesterday i started sneezing and had a runny nose. Now i feel horrible with stuffy, runny nose, sore throat, coughing. I doubt i have the flu and i think its just a bad cold, but still is it possible to get the flu even after a flu shot? I don't think I was sick, but when I was at the doctor before they wanted to give me the shot, he said i had yellow drainage in my throat, but other than that i felt okay. It is possible to get the flu, if the flu that is going around isn't the one that you vaccinated for. Because they make the vaccine 6 months ahead of time guessing which is the strain that will be infecting people. You CANNOT get the flu from the flu shot. Some of the symptoms you have are normal because the body will flare up in order to build resistance. But it sound like to me you had or have a bad head cold. But generally they are pretty good at getting the right vaccine for the right strain. Yes, it's possible, but it would be a weaker form of what you would have gotten if you haven't had the flu shot. Yes, this makes sense. The whole point of the flu shot is to "make you sick" with one thing so that you don't get sick "with something worse". Yes, a lot of relatives and friends I know get sick after the flu shot. If you ask me, I think it's gross we're injecting ourselves with sickness so we can "become stronger" and not get sick with "something worse". All this is doing is allowing illnesses to mutate and grow stronger so that over time people will get sicker and sicker - with or without the flu shot. yes,were you sick when you took the flu shot.maybe you just have a cold,because the flu you would have body aches in addition to those symptoms. |
