Flu Shot For 6 Month Old Baby ???

My baby's Doctor told my husband and I that he thinks its best for our 6 month old to get a flu shot. I heard so many differnt things about the flu shot. some people highly recommed it, and others say that its unnessery or not to give it unitl the baby is 1.

my qustion is , Is It ok to give a 6 month old a flu shot?? and Is It Safe? Would he Get sick after? Please respond because i have an appointment this week..Thanks

We all had our flu shots, baby, Mom and Dad, recommended by our doctor. If your doctor recommends you get the shot then you ALL get it, including Grandparents and anyone likely to visit the baby. No shot - no visiting - end of story. It's for the babies protection.

My baby got a flu shot at 6 months. It didn't bother her in any way. She didn't get the flu though. But of course no one in our family did. I guess since she wasn't around it she couldn't get it.

No. Don't give the 6month old a flu shot it could kill the baby. it may be allergic to the ingredients and is too young to tell you how it feels. Also, there is no need to do this, you can just keep baby inside until after flu season is over away from strangers. Wait until the baby is at least 2 yrs to get the shot.

I personally would not give a 6 month old a flu shot.

I admit if the baby would get the flu, that would be terrible, but it would pass and the baby would be okay.

If your baby had a reaction to the shot, it can cause some serious damage or even kill it.

Don't always assume your doctor knows best. Do your own research and lots of it and come to a conclusion both you and your husband are comfortable with.
