Flu Shot For 6 Month Old Baby ??? |
My baby's Doctor told my husband and I that he thinks its best for our 6 month old to get a flu shot. I heard so many differnt things about the flu shot. some people highly recommed it, and others say that its unnessery or not to give it unitl the baby is 1. We all had our flu shots, baby, Mom and Dad, recommended by our doctor. If your doctor recommends you get the shot then you ALL get it, including Grandparents and anyone likely to visit the baby. No shot - no visiting - end of story. It's for the babies protection. My baby got a flu shot at 6 months. It didn't bother her in any way. She didn't get the flu though. But of course no one in our family did. I guess since she wasn't around it she couldn't get it. No. Don't give the 6month old a flu shot it could kill the baby. it may be allergic to the ingredients and is too young to tell you how it feels. Also, there is no need to do this, you can just keep baby inside until after flu season is over away from strangers. Wait until the baby is at least 2 yrs to get the shot. I personally would not give a 6 month old a flu shot. |
