Flu Question?

A person gets the flu shot a month before flu season. Then a month later after the shot, the person gets the flu. What are some reasons that could have caused that?

The flu shot only immunizes you against the serious flu strains which the CDC believes will cause the greatest amount of illness each winter. Sometimes they get the strain right, sometimes not. There are literally thousands of viruses which can cause the flu and you have probably caught one of those.

i'm not really sure
but it happened to me
*blahhh*

They are many different strains of the flu.

The flu shot helps you so that you won't get the flu as easily but it's not fool proof

It's not the strain of flu that you were vaccinated against.

Getting the Flu shot Just means that you will less likely get the flu.
