I have the flu.. help!!!?

I got the flu a couple days ago from my bf's brother. I had no idea it was the flu and my temperature went up to 104 yesterday morning and then last night 103.2. Tylenol wasn't working. I went to the doctor today and she said it was the flu. I was experiencing a sore throat, very dry cough, body aches, very bad headaches, etc. My doctor prescribed me some flu medication and I'm currently taking Motrin. Now I have a runny nose and clear mucus coming out of my nose. What makes it worst is that I have a 6 month old daughter. She has had her flu shot, but I'm still worried. My problem is, every time I lye down on my back or on my side with pillows or a blanket, my temperature gets very high.. about 102+. I can't sleep because I'm afraid of my temperature climbing very high. And when I sleep with no blankets or pillow, I feel so cold that I start shaking and I can't get any sleep at all. I just want to sleep! Does anyone have any suggestions?

I was told a long time ago that you should "rotate" you fever relieving medication. Tylenol now, ibuprofen next, asprin, etc. The triage nurse in the emergency room said that if you keep taking the same thing, your body starts to build up an immunity to it. I've always followed those directions and have always been able to shake a fever in a day or 2. All are good pain/fever relievers, just take turns with them. That's what was told to me. Hope you're feeling better soon!

keep covering you need to sweat that bug out
prop your head up with as many pillows as possible
extra strength Tylenol should work for fever or you need to call back doc
Motrin and ibuprofen don't pull fever down as well as acetaminophen
theraflu is great for all the symptoms you have but you probably could use a friend or relative to take your child overnight so you can catch up on your health
