BIrd Flu kit??

I saw a flu kit online that said it was featured on ABC tv. The following were the items enclosed:

respirator
nitrile exam gloves
goggles
disinfect clothes
hand wipes

Under what circumstances would these keep you safe from the flu??

I really don't think that if there was a pandemic, a person could be cautious enough with these products (you would have to be very vigilant about thier use) that they could stop you from getting the flu.

I don't know how much this kit cost but it seems to me that each of these items are rather common and could be purchased seperately. Of course diligent use of these items will offer some protectction from disease. But so will locking yourself in your home and avoiding all contact with people. But then you may be bitten by a diseased mosquito.

Vigiliance is key, you are right! That is the difficult part. If you were going to go out of your house in this garb it would be difficult to get around. I think if it comes down to the pandemic phase, we'd better stay home and be careful.
