Thought I had the flu...? |
I went to the doctor and she thought I had the flu, so I got tested for flu, went and bought my prescribed medicine , tamiflu. which some reason isnt covered by my insurance and cost me 100 bucks. I took the first pill and ten minutes later got a call that told me the test came back negative for flu. By all means I have every symptom of the flu except today I am coughing up stuff....obviously i need an antibiotic, but should i go ahead and take this flu medicine since I bought it, and will it do anything? That doesn't take the flu away , it really is meant to help you if you first get sign of the flu then it helps you fight it. But if i were you I would hold on to it for next time , because that is hard to come by. Well now you are prepared if we get the Bird flu. That is what was hard to come by about 2 years ago remember when the Bird Flu scare happened. That was what they wanted everyone to use. Call your doctor and ask her. She will not be bothered by your call. If she says that you don't need it, Tamiflu can be very good to have on hand in case of a serious flu outbreak- just pay attention to the expiration date. |
