The flu bug?

I just had a 24 hour flu and it was AWFUL! Would it be smart for me to get a flu shot, or will it not be effective since I already had the flu?

The vaccine for influenza does not have anything to do with the type of gastrointestinal problem you had. Influenza is fever, chills, body aches, respiratory problems, etc. So yes, you should still get a flu shot if you would normally need or want one.

Try checking out the website flufacts.com for more information on flu. It gives helpful tips on how to know if it's a cold or the flu and other such information.

Hmmm I am pretty sure that the flu usually last longer than 24 hours. Some things are mistaken for the flu bug but aren't.

I would wait a week (be sure that you are totally better) and then get a shot.
