How do they make Flu shots in advance for next season? |
They says every year Flu viruses are differnt so we need differnt updated Flu shots too,But that allways makes me wonder how do they make Flu shots in well advance before actual Flu season starts and it's able to prevent people from getting Flu?Anyone know? It's always flu season somewhere. BitterTruthHurts - they don't make flu shots in advance. They would find someone who had recently gotten over that particular new strain of the flu and use their antibodies to make a vaccine. If you get the flu shot, then you would have the antibodies in your bloodstream that have already beaten that strain of the flu. If you are exposed to that strain of the flu, then your body would just begin to make more of those antibodies and so you wouldn't get sick. |
