A Cold/Flu and Depression? |
I wouldn't say I suffer depression, or at least I have never been diagnosed with it, however I always know when I have a cold or flu coming on as I get depressed a day or 2 before it arrives guaranteed, I never get depressed any other time, but I just feel really down and almost tearful before a cold or flu comes on, does any one else get like this? And the depression continues right up until the cold or flu goes. Especially with the flu, this is not uncommon. Oh, yes. I get especially hysterical after the first signs of a stomach flu. When you first catch a bug, your body starts fighting it before you are even aware of the symptoms. This tires the body out, so you have less energy. This could make you feel depressed. Sounds like you are really in touch with your body!As soon as you start feeling down, try taking AirBorn or extra vitamins to help your body do its job. And get an extra hour or so of sleep every night when you know you're coming down with something. These things won't cure the bug, but they will help you to feel better! |
