Can the flu cause spotting? |
I just got over a long stomach flu. The first day I started feeling better, (around Nov. 23), I had some light spotting that lasted about a day. My period isn't due till around the 7th, but I am worried because I don't usually spot between periods. It was an intense flu that really took a lot out of me, so i thought that maybe this could be due to that flu. I'm not exhibiting any other symptoms of pregnancy, except for a few mild headaches and cramps, (which are my usual PMS symptoms). My fiance and I are safe, so I don't think I'm pregnant. But, I'm just not sure. What do you guys think? I doubt that your pregnant. You are probably getting an abnormal period because of all the stress the flu has put your body through. You also may have had a sudden weight drop which could have thrown your menstrual cycle off balance. Hope this helps answer your question :) |
