Why do I have these floater things in my eyes? |
I have developed these weird floater spots in my eyes. They are starting to drive me crazy, am I going blind? I have them too - I usually only notice them when I'm looking at a white wall or white paper but they are VERY annoying!!! My mom and aunt have them too so they must be somewhat common. I hate them. They just happen-not dangerous! OMG I thought I was crazy and the only one who saw these things in my eyes. They kinda look see through and you have to adjust your vision to see them. Im sorry but I have no idea what they are I wish I knew myself. It's caused from mucous around your eye which forms little clumps in certain spots, and those clumps cause you to see those transparent floaters. You'll see them if you are focussing on something on a pale background, like a white wall or pale blue sky. Mine come and go. You could use a tear gel for dry eye to disperse them out of your line of vision. I agree that eye strain or stress can bring them on as this seems to be when I get them the most. you should see your doctor. or maybe you are just spending too much time at the computer. your eyes need a break. just ignore them, everyone has them it is just that they do not notice them. Usually you get them as you get older, say 40ish. I've had them since my teens and they're related to my having unusually oblong eyeballs. Floaters generally are nothing to worry about unless you see a sudden flash of light and a shower of floaters - then you might have a detached retina. Yikes. |
