Info on Floaters?

I got a big floater in my eye what can it be caused from? i had it since summer of 2004. i see it all the time. it drives me crazy. i can't see it when it's dark. is it cause from videogames?

Floaters are pieces of debris ( literally loose bits of "vitreal fibres") floating inside the liquid of your eye. You can see them better in good light and when you're looking at a pale surface or blue sky, a bit like when it's bright sunlight and you can see all the motes of dust floating in a sunbeam- they're always there, you just see them better in certain conditions.

If you have floaters, you should have them looked at by an ophthalmologist, because they can be signs of more serious conditions. They'll give you drops to dilate your pupil and peer into your eye, it doesn't hurt and isn't invasive. Most aren't worrying, lots of people have them.

Video games can't cause them. It's either simple degeneration, or a medical condition.
Check it out, especially if you get more. It's worth it for the peace of mind:)

Since 2004? You aren't going for regular eye check ups?! Could be a cataract or an actual vitreus fluid floater (see second source). Tricky but can be removed. Get a thorough eye exam!

they are small blood spots. I have the same thing in my left eye. I don't play video games. I am being treated for Glaucoma. Have your eyes checked This could be a real problem.
