OH YES, IVE BEEN WANTING A JOB HAS A HEAVY GOODS DRIVER, I WAS WONDERING IF YOU DO HAVE FLOATERS, YOUR STILL ALOUD TO DRIVE....?

thanks peepz!

Well if you only have one floater then it is very likely that you are ok and everything is normal!
Floaters in most cases are very normal and occur very commonly in people that are nearsighted!
I see floaters as well! Every time I look at a plain background or when I look at the sky!

Floaters are actually tiny clumps of gel or cells inside the vitreous, the clear jelly-like fluid that fills the inside of your eye.
Floaters may look like specks, strands, webs or other shapes. Actually, what you are seeing are the shadows of floaters cast on the retina, the light-sensitive part of the eye.

Floaters are USUALLY quite normal and can accompany a headache.
If you suddenly see new floaters, or eye floaters accompanied by flashes of light or peripheral vision loss, it could indicate serious conditions such as diabetic retinopathy; vascular abnormalities such as retinal hemorrhages or carotid artery disease, or the beginning of a retinal detachment. The retina can tear if the shrinking vitreous gel pulls away from the wall of the eye. This sometimes causes a small amount of bleeding in the eye that may appear as new floaters. You should see your eye doctor immediately
There are no medications available that are effective in treating most floaters. Patients with floaters due to inflammatory eye diseases may be helped by medicines to treat the inflammation; however, the floaters may remain after the treatment. Although floaters can be bothersome, most people learn to ignore them. A vitrectomy or laser treatment can be done to treat floaters but they would have to be pretty serious to do so! Floaters even though they can be distracting they do not distort vision and people with floaters drive. So many people have floaters and many of these people drive :)

They can be annoying but best thing to do is ignore them and they go away :) What I do is when I start to see them I do not focus on them... I just focus on the objects I am looking at and then I do not even notice the floaters anymore! If still have any concerns about what your eyes, it would be best to see an eye doctor for an examination :)

Hope that helps a bit hun :)

i would go and see an optition there should be nothing wrong but he can verify that and then once youve done that then you should be able to drive heavy goods

Don't worry about it, everyone has floaters. If it's a large one, I'd go to the opticians, just to check, as you are going to be a heavy goods driver.

If it really effects you, do go to an eye doctor, but if it's small, just ignore it, that's what I do. Don't worry about it. They aren't harmful.

:D

There is nothing to worry about at all infacy my dad's mate has floaters and drives so i think you can drive. Just dont stare into the sky too long!!
Also it is a good idea if you try not to look at the sky, ask your doctor.

Good Luck

You're probably alright. Floaters are quite normal--especially if you are nearsighted. You should worry if they pick up in their intensity over time--then you might have some kind of eye problem that could make you blind. Also, if you just all of the sudden start seeing a lot of floaters, you should be worried.

I don't see how having a floater could affect you if you want to be a truck driver.
