Floaters and eye ache?

Have had floaters for years, but they got a lot worse last week along with flashes, so I went to my opthamologist. Had my eyes checked and pupils dialated to check retina, etc.

She said all looked great. No tears - not even any tiny holes. She said my eyes look completely healthy.

Has anyone else experienced an eye ache and eye feeling tired with their floaters? Very annoying and seems that I can see a dark shadow at times in my pariphrial vision of left eye. Are the shadows off to the side just floaters too? Very frustrating!

Thanks!

I would get a second opinion...preferably with an Opthamologist (if the first Dr was not one)...I, too have floaters, and sometimes, under a lot of eye strain, they will bother me...
You should also have her check for Macular Degeneration, Retinitis Pigmintosa (spelling may be off), and Miasthenia Gravis (again, spelling..?), if she/he has not...
Hopefully, you have nothing to worry about..."shadows" I wouldn't think would be floaters...my floaters always look like little black specs..not shadows...
Good luck, hon!
