How many people have eye floaters? What do you do to cure your symptoms? Thanks!?

I have had floaters for a short amount of time and am thinking of going to the doctor. I am trying to eliminate some things that may be causing the symptoms. I have switched my birth control trying to see if that is what was causing it because I never had these problems before I started taking the particular brand. I have taken different brand birth control with no problem. I switched birth control to relieve migraines. It didn't help though. This is what I see with the eye floaters: I get colored flashes, bright dot flashes, blurry dots while looking at the sky or in bright rooms. I also get dark spots floating across my vision from time-to-time. Any one with any advice will be much needed.

Floaters are usually nothing to worry about. However, as annoying as they are there is nothing to do to get rid of them, unless you actually want to have a big risky eye surgery to remove them (which most doctors won't actually do anyway). If you see any flashing lights out of the corner of your eye along with those, you should see an ophthalmologist right away. It could be something a simple as a PVD (posterior vitreous detachment), or it could be a retinal tear or even a retinal detachment. If it were a tear or detachment, if left untreated you could lose your eyesight. So, please call your ophthalmologist and get an appointment.

I have floaters, but they don't have color and they aren't bright. Mine are black squiggly things that become worse when I am out in the sun. I have had mine checked out and she said this is normal with age. She also did tell me that if it got worse, that I needed to come back in because something could be trying to detach in there...I can't remember what she said. Please just go get it checked out.

I have eye floaters but they are clear
