I have floaters in my eyes!!!? |
The floaters in one of my eye has slightly increased a bit recently, should I get worry??? I once read somewhere that everyone has "floaters". I forget exactly what they are but it has something to do with how your eyes develop before you're born. The floaters are what's left of something we don't use anymore after birth so the "pieces" kind of disentigrated and just float in the fluid inside of your eyeball. As long as your vision hasn't been affected, I wouldn't think an increase in floaters is anything to worry about but you can always ask an opthemologist about it. I know with me, sometimes I notice them more than other times so it could just be that. If it really worries you though, I would see your eye doctor. He/she can always do a quick exam to see what's going on. There are different types of floaters and what causes them. It could be due to a retinal tear, abnormal growth of blood vessels, or even inflammatory eye diseases. |
