Floaters???

So Ive had my eyes dialated a few times, and checked out, and they say they cant find anything wrong with my eyes. I see these weird spots, (theres like millions of them when I look into something bright. Never see them otherwise. Im 18 and have been seeing them since I was like 13. I have light blue eyes. I noticed though when im running or if im in the heat and im over working myself, and bend down to pick something up, i stand up and feel pressure in my head down into my nose, and the spots get even worse. There not "stars" Ive seen them before...but there like a more intensity of the floaters I already see. This has gone on for years, what could it be?

Not obese. Only 125 pounds lol

Yes, you have floaters. Not life threatening and they will come and go through out your life. Wear a good pair of sun glasses in summer and if you live in an area with snow.

Other than than, ignore them, take vitamins, and stay as healthy as you can.

that happens to me every once in a while too when I get a head rush. I really don't think it's anything to be worried about. If your dr's can't find anything wrong, then don't worry.

I think my orthodontist said its cataracts.

i recommend not staring into light and focus on what is in front of you

If you are obese you might have benign intracranial hypertension .

They are called floaters and are little pieces of the vitreous. This is the gelatin like lining of your eye. They can break off and will float around in the eye. Some people are just prone to getting them and there is nothing that can be done about them.

I had them when I was your age and usually they didn't bother me. I am older now and earlier this year had cataract surgery with lens implants. Soon after the surgery I developed vitreous detachments which are like floaters only much bigger. They are harder to ignore and cause blurry spots in my vision.

If you ever see flashes of light or have part of your vision go dark you should get to a doctor or emergency room immediately. That would be a retina detachment and would need to be treated as soon as possible. Most people your age don't have retina detachments but, they sometimes happen more often in people who have lots of floaters or vitreous detachments.

Be sure to talk to your eye doctor about any concerns you may have. I hope I helped.
