Vision Floaters and Blurry? |
Floaters or black spots are part of my vision since a long time ago. I think it got a littler worse over a year ago. Which, my understanding these things with other related symptoms can be diabetes. I am pre-diabetic. Today something weird happened. My vision in my left eye, I could not see. It came back after 20 mins. It is scary. I also have sharp pain in my fingers and toes, sometimes I loose feelings in my fingertip. I am finally seeing an endo, but my appointment is next week. Other doctors were telling me that I am not advanced and nothing can be done. Are the above symptoms strong enough to ask the doctor for help? that hapened to my boyfriend before he was diagnosed with diabeties. it sounds like diabetic retinopathy. it can progress quickley and cause problems. i would go see an eye doctor and your own doctor. my boyfriend didn't and now he is legally blind. and don't think you are too young my bf is only 31 and this happened about 2 years ago. yes, it sounds like you have poor circulation, a problem caused by diabetes. I would suggest you see a doctor right away, or get to an emergency ward or urgent care clinic. yes Yes, they are. Actually, you should have started seeing an eye doctor already with pre-diabetes. And you may be able to stave off the diabetes anyway with proper diet and exercise. If your doctors have not told you this, get different doctors! Its good that you are seeing an endo to rule out diabetes, but since you are not yet diabetic you should look into other things. Neuralgia and vision problems should not be happening if your labs are normal. Some of your symptoms sound a little like MS or other neurological conditions. Have you seen a neurologist? Have you had a brain MRI done yet? I would pursue all avenues before assuming it is diabetes related. |
