Flea bites vs. Mosquitoes bites? |
HOw can you differ flea bites from mosquitoe bites?? I was at the beach late a couple nites ago and the next day i found 7 bug bites on my legs =( I don't know if i got it at the beach cuz i was only wearing shorts or was it from my puppy who sleeps with me everynight... any suggestions would be much appreciated ! thanks. and how do you get rid of them!!! (1) Flea bites are smaller than mosquito bites and don't (normally) swell up as much if you scratch them. (2) Flea bites often occur in groups, so normally you'll have more than one in the same area. (3) You often get a bit of a rash around a flea bite. (4) Mosquito bites (normally) take less time to heal than a flea bite (it can take weeks for the mark from a flea bite to go away). If you're going to check your puppy for fleas, the easiest place to look is his/her belly and groin - there's less fur and the skin is thinner there so the fleas are drawn to that area. mosquitoes bites tend to get bigger the more you itch them, but flea bites normal stay around your ankles, and are little red bumps. Flea bites are tiny red bites that look like small scabs almost. Mosquito bites don't usually have much color unless you itch them and then they turn into a pink welt. Mosquito bites tend to be larger and flea bites tend to give you a rash around the flea bites. Sometimes you can't really tell the difference between the two bites, so you'll have to check if your dog has fleas. We used to have guys that would get not the ocean water. Something about the salt caused them to stop itching and since you said you was at the beach go back and get into the water instead of hanging with friends get wet for a few and dry off and do it again. Also one can use clear finger nail polish, burns to high heavens but they ill go away. As to tell which is which, fleas are much smaller and mosquitoes are bigger welts. You chances are have sand fleas. |
