I have flea bites on my arms and back. How do I treat these?

We have a tomcat who even though he is declawed likes the outdoors. Fat Albert will not wear a flea collar & he sheds constantly. We've started the once a month flea medicine but I am getting all these bites on my shoulders, arms, back and legs. How do I treat them without going to a doctor since I'm diabetic and asthmatic? I plan on getting rid of FA and finding him a new home.

In order to treat the problem, you need to solve the cause. Go to any grocery store, go to the laundry soap section, find a box of 20 Mule Team Borax laundry soap. Buy a box (one lb for each 1,000 sq feet of carpet)
LIGHTLY sprinkle the borax over your carpet (you should not even be able to see it when you are done) and there is no need to vacuum it up. The part I like is it will cause ANY fleas in you have to die a horrible death. The will be dehydrated, dry-up and you won't even know they were ever there. This treatment will also last for 6 months or more!
This is very cheap (less than one bug bomb) very safe and 100% effective. Go get some Borax and give me best answer tomorrow when your fleas are gone!

I am also diabetic and on three injections a day. You should see your doctor at least Every 3 months to run a hemoglobin A1C. I have also noticed I am more sensitive to mosquito bites since becoming diabetic. We have three cats and a dog, but don't have any fleas!

you need to get the cat some TopSpot. It works really well on my cats and dogs. wash your sheet, rugs and anything that your cat can jump on and sleep on. go through the house and spray something that kills fleas. make sure the spray is not harmful to your cat. Poor Fat Albert! Dont give him away!! Also, he will quit shedding when the weather gets cold. Mine do the same thing!
