How do you get rid of flea bites?

I've had these flea bites on various parts of my body for WEEKS. I am hypersensitive to them because they puff up a lot and are very itchy...I even itch them subconsciously in my sleep.

I know my dog has fleas because I have seen them on her stomach. We are going to treat her and the house asap.

How do you get rid of them? Is calamine lotion a solution? Help!

I guess I should've clarified that we HAD treated her for fleas but it turns out that the brand did not work...so we do take care of our dog. =)

yes calamine lotionwill help reduce the itch.
and e45 creams make sure you dont itch though too mch as it will get infected. treat the house, dog and furniture as soon as you can

For you and the dog, Neem oil is the best treatment. For the carpet, I would recommend misting with a very strong Neem tea daily for 1 week. It should dry between mistings.

get rid of the fleas

no not really, what you need to is go to the doctor and see if they can give you a cream for the itching and some kind of medication pills for the bit marks to per vent them from coming back and/or forming. and make sure you get that dog of yours checked for fleas ever so often to make sure this doesn't happen again.

treating the dog and the house are the only way to get rid of the fleas. The best treatment fot the dog is to go the vet and get advantage or frontline. That will take care of the dog, and also any new fleas the dog gets for a while. The dog should be continuously treated because fleas ALWAYS come back. The best treatment for the house is BORIC ACID. That's what the bug man treated my house with. It cost me $100. You can by it in bulk from Lowe's, home depot or such. You vacuum the house (add moth balls to the vac, it kills the fleas you vac up) and sprinkle the boric acid all over the house, sweep into the carpet and upholstery and leave it for a few day. This Will also kill any flea lavre and prevent them from gowing into fleas. It will also kill eggs. It will not harm the dog or the kids, mop the floors that you can with something strong and
powerful like pinesol or such. That will treat the fleas there. This should clean up your flea problem. Repeat as necessary. I did not have to retreat, esp. with the dog being treated.
