Does anyone know of treatment for secondary infections from flea bites in humans? |
My dad and I suffered some flea bites from our dogs. Does anyone know of treament for the secondary infections brought on from scratching (sorry! It really itched)? I don't feel that I have bad hygiene, it's just an unfortunate thing that happened due to being around my pet too much. But it's gone on for some time now. I thought they were getting better and that there would be no need to seek medical attention. But they itch still, but they are scabbing over. But when I wear shoes or put on my jeans, sometimes the scabs get ripped off. I know that sounds horrible. I would just like some relief and to have my summer legs and tan back! If it isn't real bad, wash the sores with soap and water, apply an antibiotic ointment and cover with a bandage, do this daily until they are healed up. The jaws of life Calimine lotion...or isopropil alchohol..it will dry out hte puss and poision..apply directly to the wound..and dont scratch benedryl cream or spray for the itching, tea tree to dry them up and stop infection. |
