I need help! My family and i have had what seemed to be flea bites for 3 weeks now but they aren't going away |
They are only getting worse! We got a new puppy and thought he had brought a flea infestation into the house BUT i have fogged and we have all been bathing in oatmeal bathes, and using the Aveeno cream, etc, when i went to the dr. he said it looked like flea bites BUT this has been going on for 3 weeks now and getting worse by the day! I haven't even seen one flea jump on me , neither has any of my family members! I know fleas can be tricky but it is weird when the puppy comes in contact with any of us we start itching automatically in that area and then we have an extremely itchy rash! I don't know what else this could be, does anybody else have any ideas? I have been washing everyone's bedding regularly and haven't changed detergents, nothing has changed except the new puppy in the house and he is flea free! HELP!! I am at my wits end and i have 4 kids and they are itching to death along with my husband and i ! I have never in my life seen something like this! My cousin just went through something very similar and is was scabies. Has anyone in your house been to a camp or something similar recently? Might want to ask to the doctor about that. Good luck. For any skin problems from: flea bites- scabies ( I could make a list a mile long) Try a product called FUSE it is all natural and works wonders. It is a lotion. You can call 800-362-4004 or www.fuseproducts.com this is good for many other ailments. The web site is very helpful. Report It It's possible that you are all allergic to the dog. See a dermatologist to get tested. You might have to give the dog away, unfortunately. You could have an allergy to what you are treating the dog with. I hate to say it, but you could be allergic to the puppy's dander. My husband is not allergic to fleas, but will itch like crazy to pet dander. Ask your doctor if this could be possible cause. if it is fleas u need to spray for them every 3 days for at least 2 weeks to kill all the eggs they hatch every 3 days Might be bed bugs. If you are in the NY or live on the eastern side of the US then for sure it might be that. Also, fleas are hard to get rid of. You might need to hire a pest control person. Or, you may be allergic to your dog. Put him in the kennel for a week and see what happens. There is stuff you can buy at specialty shops that will kill the current infestation and prevent further egg hatching of new fleas. We have had a couple of flea situations and I can tell because I keep getting bites around my ankles and the dogs would drive me nuts. Most of the time I could not "see" the fleas, but I knew they were there. I cannot remember the names of the products and they are kind of expensive ($20.00 and up), compared to something you would by at Wal-Mart. It is worth it. It could be mites from your puppy. They burrow under the skin. Or an allergy to the puppy. It could also be ringworm, but that takes a while to show up and you would have round, reddish circles about the size of a dime on your skin. Have you checked the puppy thoroughly with your vet? |
