How long does the itching last when you have flea bites? It is driving me crazy!!!!!?

It has been 4 days and i have still been itching like crazy!! Our new puppy we brought home was infested with fleas and i didn't realize it until it was to late and i have atleast 50 or more flea bites that are driving me nuts!! I have been taking benadryl , oatmeal baths and using anti itch cream but how long do i have to suffer????????????? I have also already treated the puppy and linens, furniture, etc. HELP!!!!

ok, hold on tight cause this is complicated!

1 stick with benadryl

2 dont scratch, that make them itch more and longer

3 eat LOTS of Garlic and Onions with Beer (these foods make you less attractive to fleas, friut and sweets make you more attractive)

4 treat your house every 14 days like clockwork for four treatments (fleas run on a 14 day life cycle and are immune to poisons for a period of about seven days in a cocoon)

5 treat your house with a household flea spray that has an IGR (insect growth regulator) not areosol foggers

6 spray everywhere, under furniture inside furniture behind drapes, bedding, between mattresses and box springs, under your clothes dryer, even places where the puppy did not go (fleas are highly mobile)

7 put your puppy on advantage or frontline, not the knockoffs you see in supermarkets those are different chemicals and do not work.

8 wash all laundry and bedding often.
